Later, the small house was moved to a bit larger house made of clay and the blessings were started. Manikkuahandi Yainis Kapu did the first blessing poems there. He died a few years later.

Seeni Kapu  Jayathilaka started conducting village sacrifices. That was about 95 years ago.

Haljothi Sangoris Muttanu and Ranmini Endoris Silva have taken care of their initial management organizations. Instead of brawling, the two have used horns. I also know that the horns used for that were kept safe in the homes of the couple until recently.

The horns are pulled by the upper and lower teams, the broken horn is the losing team, and the unbroken horn is the winning team. They do blessings while saying “Hoyya”.

When Sini Kapu Jayathilaka was conducting the village religious sacrifice, his son, Mr. H. Jayathilaka, who was 14 years old, performed his first “Madu Basima” ceremony at this place. After the death of his father, H. Jayathilaka was the third Kapu Pattini.

He conducted the village religious sacrifices festival for 68 years and passed away after 92 years. It was in 1995.

Akurala David Gagari de Zoysa, Rammini Aralis Dharmavikrama, and Denetti Karaliyes Silva were the guardians and organizers of the village religious sacrifices festival with his father before his death.

In later times, deva pooja was held by the relatives of,

  • Mr. W Auting De Silva,

  • Mr. W. Eranda De Silva,

  • Mr. Handunneththi  Kalu Sindndo Mandis,

  • Mr. Merendnda Simon Silva,

  • Mr. Hadunneththi Meetin Mandis,

  • Mr. Agampodi Nanasena De Silva,

  • Mr. Agampodi Leading De Silva,

  • Mr. Rannulu Gunapala De Soysa,

Apart from that, the new temple committee, which is currently conducting village puja festivals, has also performed many great services and preserved the temple. Performing sacrifices in this temple and serving villagers, H. G. Mendis (Podi Kapu Pattini), who is in charge of the temple does village sacrifices and charity services in this temple. This is the only place where thousands of people and children are given alms along with milk and rice.

Also, we wish Nimal Somasiri, a devotee who passed away suddenly, who was involved in additional Pebat charity in this temple.

Goddess Pattini created the seven fire fences on the beach of Seenigama because it was suspected that the entourage coming to land at Senigama could be there.

Apart from that, if they are her brothers, they can also admit that they created the seven barriers of fire so that the seven of them know where she is.

“Dayalu Santhustiyen sitha                –  Samadhi kara gena vitin             vita

Sadalu thama soyuru sath kattuwata –  Ran oru walin en                        nata

Mawalu gini wata hathen thama         –  Wesena thotu pala baha dakin    nata

Wadalu sath devindu waramin            –  Waran duni pathi devi ladun      hata “

That is also mentioned in the above poem in the past.

The group of seven gods who entered Seenigama visited in each direction of the island and lasted for a long time.
